Based on idea that mothers are like sedimentary rocks. Trying to capture that feeling as a mother of compression, of feeling so completely empty but you have to keep going. The day after day exhaustion, one on top of another. A mother created rapidly by pressure rather than a rock that is created over millions of years. Also trying to capture the obscured sense of time: like you’ve lived a life before 9am, long days/short years.
